Glorious Spirit of Ukraine
Stories of Escaping Putin's War
Support Ukrainian refugees and Ukrainians who have remained inside their country.
We are raising funds to:
1). Complete this documentary project for publication and raise awareness about the Ukrainian war crisis. 2). Employ Ukrainian video editors to complete post-production. 3). Financially assist Ukrainians who are sharing their stories. These funds will help them directly secure shelter, safe passage for their families, and basic needs, such as food and clothing. 4). Once families are settled with basic needs, our fund will help provide therapeutic services to help them heal and process the traumas they have endured.

On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded the peaceful European country of Ukraine. Since then, the world has watched in horror the murder of innocent Ukrainians and the destruction of this beautiful country. Millions of Ukrainians have escaped "Putin's war" and fled to NATO countries on the western border of Ukraine. Ukrainians have been traumatized and displaced. Their families have been fractured and lives lost. Their homes, communities, livelihood, and way of life destroyed. The humanitarian crisis they face does not end when those fleeing find safety. The traumatic effects of war and genocide continue for generations.
Eightfold Path's International Director, William Theodoracopolis, is a visual artist living in Budapest, Hungary. He is collaborating with Ukrainian war refugees in Budapest to compile their photographs and to document their first-hand accounts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The project’s goal is to financially assist Ukrainians in need and to document as many stories as possible. Millions of Ukrainains need assistance. This war is a historical moment and needs documentation. DONATE HERE.
These intimate interviews describe the dangerous journey to safety, what they witnessed along the way, and loved ones they've left behind in order
to cross the border. Their stories reveal their revived sense of community and national pride while describing the horrors of war and what it takes to adapt and heal from the trauma of losing their people and country.
Eightfold Path has created a four-tier effort to support Ukrainian refugees and Ukrainians who have remained inside their country.
We are raising funds to:
1). Fund this documentary project for publication and raise awareness about the Ukrainian war crisis.
2). Employ Ukrainian video editors to complete post-production.
3). Financially assist Ukrainians who are sharing their stories. These funds will help them directly secure shelter, safe passage for their families, a nd basic needs for their families, such as food and clothing.
4). Once families are settled with basic needs, our fund will help provide therapeutic services to help them heal and process the traumas they have endured.
BOLD’R is an innovative program that activates young leaders by helping them to strengthen their minds and bodies through creative problem solving, mind-body awareness, yoga and bouldering.
BOLD'R's four-week training program is Directed by Nebechier Jones and led by a team of Austin Bouldering Project (ABP) instructors and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) advocates. Participants are guided through curated activities and climbing sessions that focus on mind-body awareness, visualization, and collaboration.
The BOLD'R Program:
Our goal is to raise $13,000 to enable twelve BOLD'R youth participants to attend free of charge. Reaching our goal will make it possible for our teens to complete the BOLD'R 4-week training and to experience support and inclusion in the ABP community. We aim to foster young leaders who are inspired to build bridges that heal SAE within their own communities.
